01 · The project requirements
Plastering required for this Roundhay extension
With the new plasterboard installed, the extension was ready for plastering. Our job was to skim the walls and ceiling, including the doorway returns, to provide a smooth finish ready for decorating once dry.
The room also had several electrical openings and recessed edges that needed careful attention during plastering.

Wall, ceiling and doorway plastering
We applied a plaster skim finish over the newly boarded walls and ceiling, working across the main surfaces and around the doorway opening.
We also finished the internal corners, doorway returns and areas surrounding the electrical openings. These smaller details are just as important as the larger surfaces when achieving a neat, consistent finish throughout a room.
The photographs show the completed plastering, with the walls and ceiling ready to dry before decorating.
