01 · The project requirements
Covering an old Artex ceiling
The living room had an existing Artex ceiling that the customer wanted to update. Rather than keeping the dated textured finish, they wanted a flat, freshly plastered ceiling ready for painting.
The aim was to cover the existing texture and leave a uniform finish across the entire ceiling.
02 · Work completed
Plastering over the existing Artex
We carried out the necessary preparation before plastering the living room ceiling to cover the original Artex pattern.
Once the plastering was complete, the textured appearance was no longer visible, leaving a freshly skimmed ceiling ready to dry before decorating.
03 · The finished result
A freshly plastered living room ceiling
With the Artex covered, the room was left with a fresh plaster finish and a flat ceiling surface.
Once fully dry, the ceiling can be painted to complete the room's updated appearance.
